AFT Profile & Exemption Calculator — Medical Profile Scoring
Use this Army AFT profile calculator to check permanent-profile event requirements, an authorized alternate aerobic event, and General or Combat standard compliance. It also shows the 500-point promotion composite created by keeping actual performed-event scores and entering 60 for waived or passed alternate events.

How a Permanent Profile Changes AFT Scoring
A DA Form 3349 tells the grader which AFT events a Soldier can perform. The Soldier completes every authorized event and, when the 2-Mile Run is waived, completes the alternate aerobic event authorized by the profile. An event cannot be skipped by choice.
The two numbers on this page answer different questions. The promotion composite keeps the actual score for each performed event and uses 60 for a waived event or passed alternate event. The compliance result checks the selected General or Combat standard. The Army's current AFT guidance states that a profiled Soldier in a designated combat specialty must average 70 points across the events the Soldier can take and must pass an alternate aerobic event when one is required.
Permanent vs. Temporary Profiles
A temporary profile and a permanent profile do not create the same testing situation:
- Temporary profile: Training, testing and recovery follow the restrictions and recovery timeline written on the active profile. This calculator should not be used to override those instructions.
- Permanent profile: The Soldier performs every AFT event authorized on DA Form 3349 and completes an authorized alternate aerobic event when the 2MR is waived.
Alternate Aerobic Event Requirements & Passing Criteria
The four listed alternatives are the 5,000-meter Row, 1,000-meter Swim, 12,000-meter Stationary Bike and 2.5-Mile Walk. They are GO/NO-GO events. A passed alternate event supplies 60 points for the promotion composite, but a faster time does not create 61 to 100 points.
